On Friday 13th July 2023, Chief Mrs. Juliana Adesola Olutimehin was laid to rest, by the highly respected Olutimehin family. amidst celebrations and prayers to God for a life well spent, Among the family members is her first Child, the kind, jovial, and profoundly esteemed wife of the former Deputy Governor of Cross River State, Mrs. Omotunde Ivara Esu, who held a funeral service in honor of her late mother. The ceremony was conducted in a grand style and was attended by a multitude of family members, friends, and well-wishers from near and far.

The burial ceremony of Chief Mrs. Juliana Adesola Olutimehin in Lagos served as a befitting tribute to a woman whose indelible mark on her children, Church and community will be remembered for generations to come. Admired for her intellect, passion, and unwavering commitment to societal development, Chief Mrs. Olutimehin’s funeral drew attention from all corners of Lagos, Nigeria and oversea countries, highlighting her significant contributions throughout her life. Without any doubt, It is important to remember the intelligence and legacy left by Chief Mrs. Juliana Adesola Olutimehin.

Growing Up
Born into the family of Pa Gabriel Adeyemi Sanusi and Mrs Aruna Sanusi of Odo-egbo in  Ijebu Ode on 1^st November 1925 and attended St Augustine  Catholic School, Ijebu Ode, for her Primary school education. She also attended St Theresa Covent School, where she earned her Modern School Certificate, all in Ogun State.  Chief Mrs. Olutimehin demonstrated exceptional intelligence from an early age. Her thirst for knowledge led her to pursue higher education, was truncated when her father passed away. She worked briefly as a sales girl with  Boulevard Stores in Lagos. You can imagine the efforts and brightness she would have inputted into doing that. She was married to Late Mr Samuel Folorunsho Olutimehin, with whom she had a memorable love life, traveling as her husband an engineer was transferred all over the middle and Northern regions of Nigeria

Influential Strides

Throughout her life, Chief Mrs. Olutimehin emerged as an influential figure in various areas of human endeavors, guiding and nurturing people. Her comprehensive understanding of business strategies, paired with her remarkable intelligence, allowed her to thrive in both the parental and marital aspects of the family. She played a pivotal role in shaping the inter-family economic landscape, working tirelessly to improve her family, her community, and the church. Her children are all reflections of the outcome of the blessing of God on her. Her illustrious children include Mrs. Omotunde  Esu (Wife of the immediate past Deputy Governor of Cross River State), Barr. Mrs Taiwo Ologbenla, Mrs Kehinde Shonowo, Mr. Abayomi Olutimehin and Mrs Funmilayo Ibeh. She is survived by about thirteen grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and grandchildren (in-laws)

With her intelligence and comprehension, she navigated the male-dominated spheres of politics and governance fearlessly. Her ability to articulate complex ideas with clarity allowed her to advocate for women’s rights effectively, paving the way for future female leaders. She has lived with her family, as her hudsband, an engineer is transferred from Lokoja, Yola, Markudi, Jos, Nguru and so on.,

Chief Mrs. Olutimehin’s burial in Lagos showcased the immense impact she had on the city and its people. Her remarkable intelligence and profound comprehension of both local and global issues served as a guiding light for aspiring leaders. Her legacy continues to inspire young women to shatter stereotypes, pursue education, and actively engage in socio-economic development. She was one of the early and foundational members of the Young Women Christian Association (YWCA) in Jos, Plateau state

May her soul rest in Peace
She breathed her last around 2.00 pm on Wednesday 26th April 2923 at the Adefemi Hospital, Ikeja, to go and be with the Lord. Chief Mrs. Juliana Adesola Olutimehin’s burial ceremony in Lagos celebrated the life and achievements of an extraordinary woman. Her story demonstrates the power of intelligence, comprehension, and unwavering commitment to societal development. Her indomitable spirit continues to inspire future generations of leaders to navigate complex challenges, cultivate meaningful change, and leave a lasting legacy.
