Ayi Kwei Amah, is that word-crafter, author, and literature icon, whose first book The Beautyful Ones Are Not Yet Born , launched him into the celebrated life of great achievers. It was an unputdownable book that focused on the analysis of life in post-independence Ghana and considered largely the Passion Week in 1965 and February 25, 1966. This was indeed the day after the overthrow of Kwame Nkrumah, Ghanaโs first president. But it’s not the contents of his work that is of interest in this write-up. What is of interest is the fact that, in making that statement, Ayi Kwei Amah, can now be proved wrong (Though not in relation to the contents and purpose of his celebrated book). For before our very eyes, we saw on Television, THE BEAUTIFUL ONES, ALREADY BORN, AND GROWN UP, PLAYING IN THE SUPER FALCON TEAM.
